A 1,200 sq ft loft in Silver Lake with great bones, terrible flow, and a couple who had been arguing about furniture placement for two years. They wanted one cohesive aesthetic across the kitchen, living, and sleeping zones without putting up walls.
The Full Redesign engagement included a complete layout rework using rugs and lighting to define zones, a moodboard built around mid-century silhouettes and warm matte black hardware, and a curated furniture plan that finally answered the eternal “where does the bed go” question. John sourced a vintage rug, two custom shelving runs, and the art that ties the whole room together.
The result: a multifunctional loft that feels intentional from the front door, with clear sight lines, defined zones, and zero arguments about the couch.
