When this client came to us, her apartment had the bones of something great but the furniture wasn't doing her any favors. A big box dining set with dark barstools and a plain marble top table sat in a bright, open room that deserved far more personality. The space felt bare and disconnected, nothing like the warm, feminine, and luxurious environment she was looking for. The moodboard centered on rich textures, soft neutrals, and statement pieces that felt curated rather than collected, giving us a clear direction from the start.
Every piece we brought in was chosen to work together and earn its place. The black oval fluted coffee table became the anchor of the living area, its sculptural base adding drama without heaviness. We paired it with a plush cream rug in a tonal swirl pattern that brought softness underfoot and tied the seating area together. In the dining space, a bold round fluted dining table in near-black replaced the old set, surrounded by warm cognac leather chairs that hit the feminine and luxurious brief perfectly. Brass curtain rods mounted close to the ceiling drew the eye upward and made the room feel taller and more expansive, with sheer linen drapes pooling softly below and replacing the old vertical blinds to flood the space with natural light.
Above it all, a capiz flower pendant light became the crown jewel of the room, casting a warm organic glow that made the entire space feel designed, not just furnished. A mid-century style bar cabinet anchored the wall with warmth and gave the client a functional, stylish home for her entertaining essentials.
